Find a gap and push through.
Tell them it's my first gig and ask them to look after me (That one only works if they're hot).

i paid for a night out with some cool bands into the bargin im not gonna stand there with my friends just looking lost till the music starts.

I third that! At the Turisas gig I went to, there were some amazingly tall people there! Same with Paganfest, me and my friend ended up right behind some when Eluveitie were playing.

I talk at gigs, but before the bands start playing. Otherwise I'm just standing there for ages, bored. I have a bit of a chat sometimes when bands are playing, but I'm a bit deaf so the conversation dies quickly.

yer im 5 ft 3 n i always get the tall ppl infront of me. i dnt care about getin al hot n sweaty ryt at the front of the crouda n i lyk lisnin 2 the music and sein wats goin on so my secret it bak corner no uva side of room from the bar. ppl always go front n centre n also 2wards bar so if u go where i go u can see over all the tall ppls heads.

Always happens. Even at festivals. The tallest and fattest guy who actually blocks out the sun just walks up and stands right in front of you. WELL ANNOYING.

And yeah, talking at gigs is well annoying. It's like, do you like this band or not?!

What annoys me more is scene kids who don't know what the hell they're doing. Those who are 'moshing' inbetween songs when the band are talking to the crowd. Just wtf. Seriously. And I may be guilty of seriously shoving/kicking the back of the knees of jackass's who 'hardcore dance' too close to me.

What's a 'douche'? 

I do get anooyed if I'm trying to listen to a band & all I can hear is people talking.   If you want to talk go to a pub not a gig.  Gigs are for listening to the band.

Status: offline 		It's bad at gigs depending on how far you are from the speakers, and what kind of music, eg a quiet NIN track will be spoiled by idiots shouting over the music - not that I'm bitter about it or anything   Kick them out!!

It happens at cinemas just the same and the reasoning escapes me...

At a gig you're meant to be noisy, granted I'm not sure why a conversation might erupt.

This is exactly what I'm on about. 

A quiet atmospheric part of a song you love & someone's talking behind you.

NIN is a good example as the same thing happened to me.

The only context that it would annoy me would be when people I don't know keep trying to talk to me.
I mean it's fine if you're saying something about the band or whatever, but when people actually try to persistently talk about anything and everything or wasted people who try and chat you up... boke.

As for just talking in general me and my friend are pretty hectic, but there's always loads to talk about!
The band, the song, memories, crazy lookin people in the crowd, hotties etc etc
I'd find it so awkward to just stand there with friends and not say anything..
