Belleville Rendez-Vous. Kinda.. Creepy, in a way, at how the characters are designed. Well that's the French for you. The Last Airbender. Ok - A: James Cameron is a douche for taking the name 'Avatar' away from it (essentially). B: They cast white people to play Asians. C: Both the director (I believe) and in-film they can't pronounce 'Aang' properly (they say 'ung', when it's 'ang'). D: I didn't feel it was at all deep and it simply relied on special effects, e.g. at the end of the movie (and the Water Book). The effects were good, but that's all it was. All thrill, no fill. E: Aang is a nomad. A monk. He doesn't use violence unless he has to. Yet, they portray him as someone who is trigger happy, whereas in the anime (well it's not actually an anime) he uses his agility and intelligence to avoid fights if possible. He just goes blasting around in the movie (again, all thrill no fill). F: What the Hell did they do to the benders? It takes 5 or 6 Earth Benders to move a few fucking rocks, and now Fire Benders need a source of fire to bend? Granted, I like the idea behind the Fire Bending, it makes sense they need a source, but they hardly fire bend (despite being all fucking thrill). But as well as liking it I also disliked, because it just wasn't true to the story. And there's going to be fucking sequels.. ¬¬ (<- Not confirmed, but they started and finished the Water Book, they still have Earth and Fire to do, so presumably 2 sequels, and even so they still managed to rush past Water). For that disgrace I went and re-watched the entire 3 seasons of Avatar.
