No... They're most certainly Death Metal. Deathcore didn't even exist when they started, and to be frank their latest album isn't all that different from their previous work (this signifies no development in the band moving from pure to core).

Just because they're popular, it doesn't mean they're -core. Metallica are still Thrash Metal, yet are raped over by the same type of people.

In metal I also reckon joey jordisson from slipknot cos he's won a bunch of kerrang awards about it and some golden god awards and scuzz tv channel talks about him and kerrang too and.. well all those media outlets tell me who I should listen to then give out those very prestigious awards. I mean like slipknot has won those awards like almost every year so they must be really good... I mean if it weren't for them I'd have to go out and find music for myself then none of my friends, who are also into ALTERNATIVE music, would have heard of them...

YEY ATENTION!! I've lost track who I'm supposed to be parodying or what I'm supposed to be making a point about and to prove I'm not on a high horse I'm going to draw a picture of boobs in the style of a calculator (.Y.) anyway I do genuinly like buddy rich but from rock I would have to say dave growl just because there are no drummers, that I've heard of (or care of), that drum the way he did before the early nineties. I really like "no one knows"

@topic: Mick Harris is probably one to consider. That man re-defined drumming for hardcore/grindcore - the ridiculous tempos that Napalm Death played really meant he had to have a knack for keeping up.

I dont know much about drumming Im a guitarist.
I reckon the best would be John Bonham, Keith Moon and one of the more modern talents I would say is Bloc Party's drummer but I dont know his name but Im not a great Bloc Party fan. Joey Jodinson is overrated he's good I give credit to him for being so good, but he's spoke about like he's the best drummer in the world. I dont think you could ever slag off the way someone plays because at least theyre playin.
